Switch to PMS

Switching pool software shouldn't be scary

Most owners stay on a tool they have outgrown because moving feels risky. PMS makes the switch reversible: bring your customers in from Skimmer, Jobber, Housecall Pro, Pool Brain, Service Fusion or a spreadsheet, see exactly what will happen before it happens, and roll the whole import back with one click if it is not right.

How it works

Migrate in three steps you can reverse

No big-bang cutover and no praying it worked. Export what you have, let PMS check every row, and only then go live — with an undo button the whole time.

1. Export your data

Pull a CSV from your spreadsheet or current app — customers, properties and the fields you already keep.

2. Dry-run validates every row

PMS checks the file row by row and shows you exactly what will import — and what needs fixing — before a single record is created.

3. Undo if it's wrong

Imported and don't like it? Roll the entire import back in one click and try again. Nothing is one-way.

What moves

What comes over today — and what doesn't yet

We would rather tell you the truth up front than surprise you mid-migration. Here is exactly what the import covers now.

Customers & properties

Your accounts and their properties come over so you start on real data, not a blank system.

Pools & visit schedule

Each property gets its pools, and when your export says how often you stop there, the visit schedule is created too — the customer shows up on Today from day one. Addresses are placed on the map automatically.

Contracts & legacy billing

Rows with a monthly price and a start date become active contracts. Past billing history can come in as read-only reference, so you keep the record without it driving new invoices.

Coming from another tool

Skimmer, Jobber, Housecall Pro, Pool Brain or Service Fusion: upload the export you already have

We are ready to migrate your customers from the platforms below — no reformatting. Pick where your list comes from, or just upload it and PMS recognizes the columns; the preview shows what each row will create before anything is saved.

Skimmer

Customers → Export (.xlsx). Customers, properties, gate codes, dog names, minutes at stop and the primary e-mail come over.

Jobber

Clients → Export (.csv). One row per property — clients with several properties are grouped into one account; archived clients are skipped.

Housecall Pro

Customers export (.csv). Every service address becomes a property; "Do Not Service" customers come in inactive and tagged.

Pool Brain

Customer export (.xlsx). Pool count, route frequency and route day come over — so the visit schedule is created with the customer.

Service Fusion

Customers file in the Service Fusion template (.xlsx). Account number, both contacts, up to two service locations per row, tags and the service agreement — a monthly agreement becomes an active contract.

Switching

Nothing about the switch is one-way

The import does the heavy lifting

The first import walks you through it: pick where the file comes from — Skimmer, Jobber, Housecall Pro, Pool Brain, Service Fusion or a spreadsheet — dry-run every row before anything goes live, and undo the whole thing in one click if it looks wrong. Day one is a working system, not a support ticket.

Honest about the edges

Where a piece of the migration is still manual, we say so before you start. No surprise gaps discovered after you have committed a weekend to the move.

Migration questions, answered straight

The things owners ask before they commit to a switch.

Is it safe?

Can I see it before it's real?

Yes. The dry-run shows every row that will import and every row that needs a fix, before any record is created.

What if the import is wrong?

Undo the whole import in one click and run it again. An import is never a point of no return.

Will I lose my history?

Past billing can come in read-only, so you keep the record for reference without it affecting new invoices.

Do I have to reformat my Jobber or Skimmer export?

No. Upload the file the other tool gives you — PMS recognizes Skimmer, Jobber, Housecall Pro, Pool Brain and Service Fusion files by their columns and maps them for you. Anything it cannot use is listed as ignored, not lost.

How much work is it?

How long does a switch take?

Most owners are on real data the same day: export a CSV, dry-run it, fix a few rows, go live.

Do I have to stop working?

No cutover weekend required — you can trial PMS alongside your current tool until you are ready.

What if I get stuck?

The import is reversible by design — dry-run first, one click to undo. Every screen has a guided tour, and the assistant on this site answers product questions at any hour.
